About

Welcome, and thank you for stepping into the world of this artist.

I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art from Mars Hill University in North Carolina in 2011. My work is deeply rooted in a lifelong reverence for animals and the natural world—subjects that hold profound meaning in both my mental and spiritual life. These influences guide my creative practice and shape the emotional language within each painting.

Now based in the North West, I work primarily as a professional oil painter and illustrator, exploring the quiet power, dignity, and presence of wildlife. Each piece is approached with thoughtful observation, expressive brushwork, and a devotion to capturing the living spirit of the animal. Through my work, I seek to reflect the timeless relationship between humanity, nature, and the wild landscapes that sustain them.

As a disabled artist, the act of painting is also an act of resilience. Challenges have become part of my creative process, shaping both my perspective and my commitment to authenticity in art. Each painting is created with patience, intention, and respect for the subject it portrays.

Through Primitive Paint LLC, I create original oil paintings and illustrations for collectors and wildlife enthusiasts who value handcrafted, meaningful art. Whether through available works or commissioned pieces, my goal is to create paintings that resonate deeply and become lasting companions in the spaces they inhabit.

I invite you to explore the current collections and available works. If a piece speaks to you—or if you would like to commission something uniquely your own—you are warmly welcome to begin that journey here.
